- 1982-1989Foundation of the company in Dortmund, relocation of the headquarters to Fürth, establishment of today’s main site and renaming to Vopelius Chemie GmbH
- 1990-1991Establishment of the Leipzig production site through cooperation with Galvanotechnik Leipzig and foundation of Galvanochemie Leipzig GmbH
- 2001Transformation of Vopelius Chemie GmbH into Vopelius Chemie AG
- 2002Merger of Galvanochemie Leipzig GmbH with Vopelius Chemie AG
- 2007Consolidation of international sales and marketing activities at the Leipzig site
- 2011Expansion of hazardous goods storage capacity to 700 tons
- 2014Expansion of the production site and construction of a new laboratory in Leipzig
- 2017Start of electrolysis production for various methanesulfonates
- 2022Celebration of Vopelius Chemie’s 40th anniversary
- 2022Recipient of the ICDA Award “Responsible Chromium Member”
